HOW PERSONAL CONSECRATION AFFECTS YOU

Consecrationis the solemn dedication to a special purpose or service, usually religious. The wordconsecration literally means "association with the sacred.1 Our personal consecration is usually a reminder of God’s purpose for our lives.
Seen this before?
“So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.” 2 peter1:12
Purpose does not come alone. It brings a reminder along. Reminders are practices borne from instruction. They are there to help and keep us from derailing or deviating from God’s plan. Moses instructed the people of Israel not to eat unleavened bread whenever it got to the day in the month when God got them out of Egypt.
“Then Moses said to the people, “Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the LORD brought you out of it with a mighty hand. Eat nothing containing yeast. Today, in the month of Abib, you are leaving.”  Exodus 13:3-4

Femi pulled the car by the side. They had driven too far to return to the Adetola’s when the tyre went flat on Ozamba drive.

It was 1 am in the morning and they had no spare tyre available.
Frustrated but calm, Femi placed his head on the steering and prayed silently. “Father, I married Shola because I Loved her and in moments like this, I will want her to talk with me even if she has no solution. Please touch her heart for me”.
Shola opened the door and stepped out in the dark. She was just going to keep walking until ….

THE CURE FOR LUKEWARMNESS

This is a sequel to my last posts on subtle signs of lukewarmness and 5 Features of Lukewarm Christians. I recommend you read those for better understanding of this one.
The Laodicean Church was a Christian community established in the ancient city of Laodicea now called Denizli in today’s country known as TURKEY1.
Jesus had this to say about them back then as written in Revelations 3:15-19 (NLT)
“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!  But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipl…
